Floyd Lived In - Bethany Brill

About This Project
I photographed designer and artist Bethany Brill and her family at their Costa Mesa, California home for Floyd's Lived In series, capturing interior and lifestyle photography of the space they renovated together. Bethany and her husband Jorge picked up this 1950s ranch through an off market deal and poured themselves into bringing it back to life. A lot of the work was done by hand with family, including installing a glass block window with her dad and kids over a weekend. Her design sensibility leans minimal but never sterile, mixing accessible materials like plywood and cement with confident color choices that give each room its own personality. The feature showcased several Floyd pieces in the home, including their signature bed frame and the new Lift Off coffee table, which Bethany repurposed as a bench. Shooting their family in the space, you could feel how much of themselves they put into it. Nothing forced, just a home that makes sense for the family living in it.
