I partnered with Koto Studios to photograph over 80 founders and partners for Lightspeed Venture Partners, a venture capital firm headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Lightspeed invests in companies across enterprise technology, consumer products, healthcare, and financial services, with offices spanning multiple continents.
This commercial photography project took us traveling to shoot offices in San Francisco, New York, and London. Stretching over the course of a few months, and even more time zones, the result was a library of images with an elevated approach to office portraiture that didn't feel like your standard corporate headshot. My goal was capturing the people and spaces that drive their investment work, showing the human side of venture capital. A warm and inviting feel was an important part of the creative direction, and it's something I think we as a team executed well throughout photographing so many subjects in different settings.
